Kathy Cottom, our loving sister, daughter, mother and wife, passed away on July 13, 2015. Her memory will always be with us and our love will always be with her.
It is with the greatest love and respect that we dedicate this site to her ever-lasting memory. We hope you will learn something about Kathy from this site and, if you knew Kathy, will contribute your thoughts, memories, and photos, so we can all share in the fullest memory of her life.
Kathy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December of 2014. For the final eight months of her life she fought a valiant battle that could not be won. She did so with hardly a complaint and with the most positive outlook you imagine one having under such circumstances. Kathy always had the ability to maximize the positive and minimize the negative; a trait that she used to full effect during her illness.
Anyone who knew Kathy will remember her for her openness and honesty, her caring, and her unfailingly upbeat attitude. Her friendly personality made it easy for her to make friends wherever she went, which served her well in the many towns she made home during her life.
Please read Her Life for a summary of Kathy’s life and see the Timeline of her life’s events. Take time to browse the Photos we’ve collected.
